Major responsibilities include recruitment and hiring assistance to the city departments, benefit administration, new employee orientation, payroll processing, and keeping a listing of all job descriptions and vacancies. The office is also responsible for ensuring city compliance with all applicable federal and state employment laws.
The The Havelock Tourist & Event Center is a multi-purpose facility that combines state-of-the-art meeting rooms with a United States Marine Corps Aviation Exhibit and visitor information center. The center’s main hall is 7,200 square feet and can accommodate 500 for banquets or 700 theater-style seating events. This flexible space can also host 44 exhibit booths. The main hall can be divided in half to handle two simultaneous events. A well-appointed conference room is also available.
